3RB Athletes Excelling

The last week of intercollegiate athletics went well for our team at Three Rivers Broadcasting, as both Jordan and Alijah had fantastic individual performances on the gridiron and hardwood.

Our Guy

Alijah Jackson had 22 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown, as well as 5 catches for 24 yards in Robert Morris defeat to nationally ranked Kennesaw State. Against first place Monmouth University, Alijah and his teammates faced extremely adverse weather, including hail and ripping winds at the Jersey Shore, limiting him to just 12 carries.

In spite of being keyed on heavily by every team they have played, Alijah still leads RMU in rushing with just under 600 yards on the season. Alijah also is near the top of the RMU receiving stats and has had a great senior year.

Our Girl

Jordan Yaniga and her teammates at Point Park University are off to a fantastic 4-0 start in Women's Basketball. They scored three victories last week, downing PSU-Schuylkill and PSU Greater Allegheny twice.

Against Schuylkill, Jordan led the way with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal and 1 assist in just 8 minutes of action, shooting 7-11 from the floor.

In PPU's 64-48 win over Greater Allegheny on November 8th, Jordan had 6 points and a whopping 16 rebounds to lead the defensive effort for the Pioneers.

On Wednesday, Jordan finished out her fantastic week of basketball by scoring 11 points, grabbing 3 rebounds and adding in 3 steals in an 80-51 win at PSUGA.

Looking Ahead:

For Alijah, RMU Football will be home on November 20th against Campbell at noon. This will be senior day and the final game of Alijah's collegiate athletic career. We encourage all of our listeners to join us at Walton Stadium to give him a loud sendoff to his collegiate football career!

For Jordan, the Pioneers host WVU Tech in a game with major playoff implications, even this early in the season, on Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM at a location TBA. They also travel to University of Rio Grande on Saturday at 3PM. Please visit the PPU Athletics website for more information on Tuesday's location at
