Alijah Jackson Stars For RMU Football

Our 3RB team member Alijah Jackson just completed his football season at Robert Morris University and had another banner year.

As the starting running back, AJ churned for 661 yards on 180 carries, scoring 2 TDs. Alijah also added 26 catches for 247 yards and 2 TDs. He saved one of his best performances for the final game of the season, a 20-17 OT win over Campbell. Alijah carried the ball 23 times for 132 yards, including a very explosive start to the third quarter--Gaining almost half of his yardage on the opening drive.

In spite of being the main target of every defense that stood in his way, missing a game due to illness and having a contest cancelled, Alijah was able to lead the team in rushing and finished second overall in the conference.

For perspective, some Big South RBs played 12 games, while our main man played 9. Alijah certainly made the most of his opportunities in 2021.

The Englewood, NJ native and former Paramus Catholic standout, who is listed as a senior, will return at running back next year for the Colonials due to the NCAA rules relating to eligibility during the pandemic. We're excited to have another year to cheer on AJ at Walton Stadium!

Congrats to Alijah on a fantastic year!
