Bethel Park Outlasts Peters Twp 54-44

Tuesday's Double Dip took 3RB into the City for Obama's victory over Carrick and then we took in the nightcap at Peters Twp, as Bethel Park survived a spirited challenge to push their record to 8-1 with a 54-44 victory.

Peters established its first quarter lead by pressuring Bethel Park's guards into mistakes and converting at the other end with a balanced attack to a 15-7 lead.

In the 2nd BP was led by Jaden Goodman on both ends of the floor, who ended the half leading the Blackhawks with 12pts as Bethel trailed 22-21, with Gavin Cote leading Peters with 8 at the break.

BP took a 30-26 lead midway thru third behind buckets from 6'5" senior Max Blanc and Goodman as the see saw defensive battle continued. Bethel Park's star senior, Dolan Waldo, heated up in the third, finishing the quarter 11 pts and BP holding a 34-27 lead.

Gavin Cote led the PT charge in the fourth, shooting his way to within a two possession game, but Goodman matched him shot for shot on his way to a game high 19, including an impressive and ice-in-his-veins 7-7 on the foul line to seal a 54-44 win.

Goodman led all scorers with 19, Waldo added 15 for the Blackhawks. Cote paced the Indians with 15 in defeat.
